A huge thank you to everyone who reached out over the years asking if this site would ever get updated. Knowing people still wanted to use it meant a lot, and you're the reason this update happened.

The main issue with the old version was that every time the game added new roles, someone had to manually update this site. That obviously didn't keep up. Wolvesville now offers a way to pull role and game mode data directly from the game itself (something that wasn't available when this site launched), so everything you see now comes straight from the game. No more outdated lists.

  • Roles and game modes now come directly from the game and will always reflect the latest content
  • All current game modes supported: Quick, Silver, Gold, Advanced, Sandbox, Crazy Fun
  • Role slots now match how the game actually works, including random role categories and split slots
  • Random category slots (e.g. "Random Regular Villager") can be expanded to see all possible roles
  • Aura filter: select Good, Evil, or Unknown to highlight matching roles and push them to the top of the list
  • Roles are always sorted alphabetically, with aura-matching roles appearing first when a filter is active
  • Confirming a role for one player automatically removes the same unconfirmed role from other players
  • Duplicate role slots (e.g. two "Random Regular Villager" slots) are now tracked separately
  • Switching game modes now asks for confirmation if you have players already assigned
  • Selecting a role that does not match your chosen aura will ask you to confirm before proceeding
  • Confirmed/Unconfirmed is now a toggle instead of a standalone button
  • Each section (Roles, Confirmed, Aura) has its own clear button, only shown when relevant
  • Reset button added per player slot
  • When a sub-role is selected inside a category, the category header updates to show the chosen role
  • Various other design and usability improvements throughout

Known limitation (a.k.a. the Storm Wolf problem): There is a role called Storm Wolf that can shuffle all players around on the board. This is, unfortunately, the natural predator of this tool. Since everything here is tracked by player position, a shuffle will scramble your notes instantly. A clever workaround probably exists and may come in a future update, but for now, if a Storm Wolf is in your game... good luck.
